IIC-type centre for Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH,Aug 22 — The city will soon have India International Centre (IIC) on the lines of the parent centre in the Union Capital.
To be constructed in Sector 15-A on Madhya Marg on a piece of land adjoining Punjab Congress Bhavan, the centre will be known as Braudlaugh Memorial India International Centre (BMIIC).
The Management Committee of the BMIIC comprises Adviser to the Administrator of Chandigarh; Chief Secretaries of Punjab and Haryana, Mr N.N. Vohra ( a senior bureaucrat and a representative of IIC, New Delhi); Mr Vijay Chopra (representing Braudlaugh Hall Memorial Trust); Mr Siddharath Shriram; Prof M.M. Puri (Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University), Mr R.K. Saboo (former chief of Rotary International), Mr Satya Pal Jain (local M.P.) and a few others. The Home Secretary of Chandigarh, Mrs Anuradha Gupta, is the Member Secretary of the Committee.
