Chandigarh Footpath workers joined BJP

Thousands of footpath workers on Sunday joined BJP in a function held in party office in the presence of state BJP President Kamla Sharma and Satya Pal Jain the party candidate for the Chandigarh parliamentary constituencyChandigarh : Thousands of footpath workers on Sunday joined Bharatiya Janata Party in a function held in party office Sector 33-A in the presence of state BJP President Kamla Sharma and Satya Pal Jain the party candidate for the Chandigarh parliamentary constituency. Kamla Sharma and Jain welcomed these new members and presented them with colourful scarves with party emblem. The new members raised slogans in support of BJP and Satya Pal Jain. They arrived in BJP office with drummers and danced in front of the entrance. They distributed and were offered flowers.
In his brief speech on this occasion Jain said that on BJP coming to power he will ensure that all the footpath workers get identity cards even while this promise made by the Congress party candidate during the last elections who is now a union minister remains unfilled even after his five year term has come to an end. He assured the new members that they will get due respect in the BJP.
