BJP workers celebrate NDA's victory in Bihar polls

CHANDIGARH, NOVEMBER 22: Local BJP workers celebrated NDA's victory in Bihar Vidhan Sabha election, in party office here today. Sweets were distributed on this occasion. BJP president Yash Pal Mahajan said Bihar's public had expressed its faith in the policies and programmes of BJP led NDA.
Satya Pal Jain said NDA will certainly achieve victory in the next elections, whenever and wherever these are held......

UT too should extend lal dora, say politicians

CHANDIGARH, NOVEMBER 18: Most city politicians have welcomed the Punjab government's decision of extension of lal dora of villages and demanded that the UT Administration should follow suit.
   Talking to Newsline, former MP Satya Pal Jain said the decision to extend the lal dora limit is in the interest of the people. He said the BJP has been demanding the same in the UT for a long time now and the Administration should follow suit and extend the lal dora limits......

Oil-for-food scam: BJP raps Natwar

CHANDIGARH, NOVEMBER 15: LOCAL BJP activists today held a demonstration at Aroma lightpoint in Sector 22 to protest against the Congress party and External Affairs Minister K. Natwar Singh. The protesters condemned the Union minister who has been alleged as a 'non-contractual beneficiary' of payoffs by the erstwhile Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq.
   Speaking on the occasion, national convener of the legal cell of the BJP and former MP Satya Pal Jain said the UN-sponsored independent committee, headed by Paul Volcker, in its report released a few days ago, names the Congress party and the External Affairs Minister as non-contractual beneficiaries in the Oil for Food programme......

Disqualify removed CPSs and PSs, says BJP

SHIMLA, NOVEMBER 5: The Himachal Pradesh unit of the BJP today demanded the disqualification of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPSs) and Parliamentary Secretaries (PSs) from the state Vidhan Sabha, saying that by holding the office of profit they had held themselves liable for disqualification.
   ''The party has submitted a 72-page memorandum to Governor V S Kokje urging him to disqualify the 12 MLAs as they had held office of profit after they were appointed CPSs and PSs by the state government,'' National Convenor of the BJP legal cell Satpal Jain said, while addressing a press conference, here.

Governor urged to disqualify Parliamentary Secys

SHIMLA, NOVEMBER 5: The BJP today filed a petition before the Governor seeking disqualification of the 12 Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) and four Parliamentary Secretaries (PS) for holding the post which had already been termed illegal by the high court.
   The 72-page petition was filed by the chief whip of the BJP in the Assembly, Mr Ravinder Ravi, under Article 192 of the Constitution. They have sought the disqualification of all 12 CPS and four PS for holding the post. Former Chief Minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal, Convener of the National Legal Cell of the BJP Satpal Jain and other BJP leaders met Governor V.S. Kokje in this regard.

   Former MP Satya Pal Jain and BJP president Yash Pal Mahajan participated in 'Id Milan' programme organised by Muslim Welfare Committee of Manimajra. The function was held at Eidgah (Near Housing Board Chowk, Mauli Jagran Road), Manimajra. Addressing the gathering, Jain said the festival is an occasion of rejoicing, festivals and self-purification. They also attended 'Eid-Milan' organised in Bapu Dham colony......

BJP Tributes to Maharishi Valmiki

The SC Morcha of BJP, Chandigarh observed the Maharishi Valmikli Jayanti at Chandigarh. Several leaders participated and spoke on the life of the seer.
Former MP Satya Pal Jain said," The message of Maharishi Valmiki is not confined to any particular religion, place or section of the people, but it is for the entire mankind. Thus, the sacred name and message of Valmiki towards humanity shall remain till eternity."
BJP SC Morcha President Sachin Lohatiya said that it was a matter of great regret that even after a long span of 55 years of independence, the Congress and its allies were looking at Dalits as 'vote bank' but have done nothing for them.
While addressing the huge gathering he further said , " All the facilities and benefits, which were to be given to the Dalits, were being enjoyed by these parties for their own benefit, as a result of which the Dalits were forced to live a poor and miserable life."
Others present on the occassion were BJP President Yash Pal Jain, Vice President Purshotam Mahajan, general secretaries Bal Krishan Kapoor and Kewal Krishan Addiwal and BJP Councillor Kamala Sharma. They all paid floral tributes to Maharishi Valmiki along with a large number of workers.
