Advani rules out mid-term poll

Shimla, December 17: BJP leader L.K. Advani today said with the results in Gujarat and Himachal going in favour of the BJP, the possibility of mid-term elections would be ruled out due to major political realignment at the Centre.

Wrapping up the election campaign of the BJP in the state, Advani addressed a rally at Ambedkar Chowk here today. "The results of the Gujarat and Himachal elections will lead to a lot of political realignments at the Centre that would ensure that the parliamentary elections are held towards the end of 2008 and not early in the year," he said. ...
