According to Rajiv Babbar, vice-president, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), a large number of professionals have taken it upon themselves to spread the message about the party’s ideals. ...
“A large number of young professionals have volunteered to take the message of democracy to the campuses. They are pitching in with their own laptops and time. As a result, the strategy is a low cost and high reach method to involve first time voters. The party is trying its best to get young voters a part of the democratic process,” Babbar said.
The efforts are likely to continue for some weeks and will culminate with a video-conference with BJP prime ministerial candidate L K Advani.
State BJP President Kamla Sharma, General Secretary Sanjay Tandon, party candidate for Chandigarh Satya Pal Jain, BJYM city president Gurpreet Singh Dhillon and general secretary Maheshinder Singh Sidhu, among others attended the session.
