HAMIRPUR: BJP MP and party's chief ministerial nominee for Himachal Pradesh, Prem Kumar Dhumal, today filed his nomination papers for the Bamsan assembly seat of Hamirpur district. He had already represented this seat twice in the state assembly on BJP ticket.
Sat Pal Jain, party's in charge for Himachal affairs, Baldev Sharma, district BJP chief and Pyere Lal Sharma, the former chairman of Hamirpur Zila parishad accompanied Dhumal to the RO's office.
Earlier, thousands of men and women attired in colorful dresses and carrying BJP flags and banners brought Prof. Dhumal from his Samirpur village residence to Hamirpur in an open jeep. They were raising slogans in favor of Dhumal and the BJP. In Hamirpur town, people greeted Dhumal with garlands and showered flower petals on him.
