Ordinarily, the quota debate in the BJP and divergent perceptions in the saffron camp over the issue, should have been a cause of relief for the Congress.
But the arguments put forward by the anti-quota sections in the BJP are making the Congress quite uncomfortable. For, it points to the devastation that quota can wreak on the Congress in poll-bound Punjab and Uttaranchal, where the OBC population is marginal.
