CHANDIGARH: Senior BJP leader and former Chandigarh MP, Satya Pal Jain, on Wednesday expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the City Beautiful. Criticising the brutal murder of retired Air Force officer, T.P. Singh, his wife and sister in their house in Sector 34 here, he said that the incidents of theft, murder and dacoity were becoming a daily occurrence.
In a statement, Mr. Jain said that the late T.P. Singh was an honest and sincere officer who devoted his whole life to the security of the nation. "If such an incident can happen to such a brilliant officer in his own house, one can imagine the fate of an ordinary and common man. This gruesome incident is a slur on the face of the powers that be who are ruling Chandigarh at this moment,'' he added. ...
