Chandigarh, January 21: FORMER MP Satya Pal Jain came down heavily on the Congress-led UPA government for not fulfilling its election promises. The MP accused the government for ignoring Chandigarh's developmental issues.
He said during the last 20 months, Congress had not fulfilled any of the promises made during the Lok Sabha polls like turning the Chandigarh Airport into an International Airport, granting Class 'A' status to the city, implementing the Balanced Rent Act for traders, Metro Rail, regularisation of need-based changes in houses, giving ownership rights to Type 13 house allottee employees and extension of lal dora. ...
