Bangalore, October 18, 2010 : The Karnataka High Court on Monday pronounced a split verdict on the disqualification of 11 rebel BJP legislators from the Assembly and referred the matter to a third judge on October 20. Satyapal Jain, counsel for the BJP, told reporters, "Justice Khehar made the observation based on a Supreme Court ruling that 'voluntary resignation' may not require the legislator to tender resignation, but could be inferred on basis of his conduct (anti-party activities)." Legal experts claim that the decision of the third judge in the case would indicate a final verdict into the plea by the BJP legislators.
