As far as residents are concerned, it does not matter to them whether the administrator or the chief commissioner is at the helm of affairs. They are more concerned about development in the city. Chandigarh is governed by the Home Ministry. The present Central government has failed to give direction to the local Administration. There has been an attempt to shift the blame of all that went wrong on the Administrator or officials. We are waiting for the final decision on the matter. For more than five years, the Congress has been blaming the Administrator for everything. Who will they turn to if the chief commissioner does not listen to them?
