CHANDIGARH: Satya Pal Jain, former MP and senior BJP leader, has urged Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal to grant approval and notify the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations in the state without any further delay.
In a letter to Badal, Jain has said that Punjab as well as UT employees were anxiously waiting for the acceptance of these recommendations before the model code of conduct for polls comes to force.
Once the Punjab government issues a notification accepting the recommendations, it will benefit UT employees too, as Chandigarh is governed by Punjab rules.
