CHANDIGARH: Chandigarh unit of BJP organized a meeting of its samiti presidents and booth-level workers on Sunday at its office in Sector 33-A. The unit's president, Kamla Sharma, chaired the programme. All state-level office bearers participated in it.
BJP's candidate for parliamentary polls Satya Pal Jain appealed to all party workers that they should think of the elections as a time to highlight the anti-people policies of the Congress.
He said there had been no development in the city during the last five years when Congress ruled. He stated that Congress members here had been busy in fighting each other and UT administration officials all the time. Jain added if elected MP, he would not say that administration officials were not listening to him.
He said no provision for the city had been made in the recent railway budget even though the Chandigarh MP was a minister.
