Chandigarh: BJP's candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Satya Pal Jain, returned to the city on Tuesday. A large number of supporters welcomed him at the railway station and loaded him with garlands. A procession was also taken out on the occasion, which passed through Colony Number 4, Sectors 29, 30, 20, Sector 21 and culminated at the BJP office in Sector 33.
Addressing the gathering, Jain stated that the city had not seen much development in the last five years of the Congress rule. "Give me 100 days and I will give you five years. The people of the city want a change. When the BJP comes to power, the participation of the people in the decision-making process would increase. All the city's problems - increasing traffic, pollution and lack of housing will be tackled," said Jain.
