Chandigarh, March: 9 Former MP Satya Pal Jain is likely to be the BJP-SAD alliance's next candidate from Chandigarh for the general elections scheduled for next year.
In their respective speeches, both Badal and Dhumal said, "We have to win the next general elections, the Congress has to be voted out of power and the NDA led by LK Advani has to be voted in. For that, make sure that Satya Pal Jain wins from Chandigarh".
Satya Pal Jain, along with Punjab Chief Minister M Parkash Singh Badal and Himachal Pradesh CM Prem Kumar Dhumal, were honoured at the Sanman Samaroh organised by the Chandigarh unit of the BJP at Nehru Park in Sector 22 here.
Badal was honoured for the successful completion of a year of SAD-BJP rule in Punjab, Dhumal for steering the BJP to victory in the recently held Assembly elections and Jain for the party's spectacular victory in the hill state. ...
