Chandigarh, September 4: THE BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) have decided to jointly contest the ensuing elections of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh (MCC). This was announced by Satya Pal Jain, former MP and senior BJP leader, and Capt Kanwaljit Singh, former finance minister, Punjab, and general secretary, SAD (Badal), while addressing the mediapersons, here, today.
SAD had earlier constituted a co-ordination committee of both BJP and SAD on the pattern of the committee formulated in Punjab, in which Satpal Jain and Capt Kanwaljit Singh were appointed the convenors. ...
