Chandigarh, July 1: Demanding speedy inauguration of the Chandigarh-Morinda-Ludhiana railway line, workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by former MP Satya Pal Jain, today staged a protest at the Chandigarh Railway Station. A large number of party workers and leaders participated in the protest.
Blaming the UPA government and particularly Union Railways Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav for the delay in the starting of commuter traffic on the new railway line, the protesters raised slogans against the Centre and Lalu.
They walked alongside the track for 5 km from the Chandigarh Railway Station to the Industrial Area demanding early inauguration of the line. ...

"The new rail line has been laid for the benefit of the people so it does not matter who inaugurates it.
