BJP held a demonstration

Chandigarh, June 10: The Chandigarh unit of the BJP held a demonstration against the UPA Government at the Centre, UT Administration and the local Congress party MP for their "anti-people" policies on Friday. They were protesting the low water pressure in the city. The activists were carrying earthen pitchers and empty buckets while raising slogans against the Congress party on the Municipal Corporation premises. They also broke the pitchers and buckets at the end of the protest. Ex-MP Satya Pal Jain said that the Congress has committed a breach of trust by not fulfilling its promises. The MC's claim of supplying water thrice a day has also not been fulfilled, he alleged. Jain also complained about the poor sanitary condition in the city.

Jain asks for overhead bridge in Manimajra

Chandigarh, June 4: FORMER BJP MP Satya Pal Jain has urged the Union Railway Ministry to construct an over-bridge at the Manimajra railway crossing on the Chandigarh-Kalka railway line.
SP Jain, also a member of the National Working Committee of the BJP, said in his letter to the Union Railway Minister Laloo Parsad Yadav that about 25,000 people from Manimajra come to and go back from Chandigarh through this railway crossing everyday. ...
