New Delhi, June 18: The BJP on Friday told the Liberhan Commission that it was against demolition of the disputed structure at Ayodhya and asserted that neither the party nor its leaders had any role in any conspiracy to destroy it.
"No conclusions can be made out that the BJP and its leaders were involved in the alleged conspiracy of destruction of the disputed structure," the BJP counsel Satya Pal Jain said in a written submission before Justice M S Liberhan, probing the event leading to the demolition on December 6, 1992.
He said the demolition was unfortunate and was uncontrolled and added that the party did not want any harm to be caused to the structure.
