CHANDIGARH, Aug 19 — A sapling plantation drive was carried out in Government College, Sector 46, here today. More than 100 saplings were planted on the occasion.
Mr Satya Pal Jain, Member of Parliament, inaugurated the function.
A similar drive was also organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Parishad as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the parishad. It has carried out plantation drives in Government College, Sector 11, GGS College, Sector 26, Dev Samaj College, Sector 45, GCG, Sector 42, and other educational institutions in the past fortnight.
The Build India Group organised a cultural programme at Government Girls High School, Sector 25, Mr Satya Pal Jain was the chief guest.
