NEW DELHI, July 30: THE government is fully aware of Pakistan's ``large-scale'' support to terrorists operating in Jammu and Kashmir and was fully prepared with counter-insurgency measures, Prime Minister I K Gujral told Parliament today.
``There will be no compromise on the country's unity and sovereignty and the challenge posed by Pakistan-trained terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and other parts would be dealt with effectively'', Gujral told the Lok Sabha.
The matter came up during question hour in the Lower House, when BJP MP Satya Pal Jain and Badal Choudhury of the CPI(M) raised the issue of terrorists using the neighbouring countries for training and launching militant activity against India.Pakistan's support included imparting training in camps located in Pakistan and in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), providing sanctuary to known terrorists, supplying arms and ammunition, giving funds and assisting terrorists in infiltrating into India, Gujral said.
